Main Purpose of Job
Brentford FC CST is looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, and ambitious coaches to join our team, to lead or assist on our range of Disability Programmes during term-time, school holidays, and at weekends. This will include working with children & young people with learning and physical disabilities, particularly those with Autism, ADHD, Learning Difficulties, Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
Sessions will take place in the boroughs of Hounslow, Ealing, Richmond, Hillingdon, and occasionally other areas of West London.
Responsibilities- To collaborate with other Trust coaches to ensure all sessions are delivered to a high standard, including planning and delivery suitable for the needs of the participants.
- Build relationships with students, teachers and parents.
- To improve children’s understanding of personal skills and values needed to achieve their goals and ambitions.
- Regular reviews with Disability Projects Managers to provide updates and feedback on development of sessions.
- To support and signpost children and young people with learning and physical disabilities into further participation pathways in sport.
- Keep up to date with registers and participant data collection in accordance with project funding requirements.
- Participate in Brentford FCCST staff training CPD workshops including safeguarding, emergency response & child protection
- Ensuring all sessions are delivered in compliance with BFCCST policies regarding Safeguarding, Risk Assessments, Health and Safety, Incidents/Accidents, First Aid, GDPR.
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of fellow employees and participants at all times, whilst sessions are taking place.
- Using knowledge of specific needs / disabilities of participants to recognise potential safeguarding concerns that need to be reported, following BFCCST safeguarding procedures
- Report any safeguarding concerns promptly to the appropriate authorities or designated personnel.

• Local partners (charities/organisations), that some sessions are delivered in partnership with.

• School Sport Partnerships across all 4 boroughs of West London (Hillingdon, Hounslow, Richmond & Ealing)
Essential Criteria
• Minimum Level 1 Coaching Qualification in at least one sport
• Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs, disabilities and/or additional needs especially some of those listed above.
• Safeguarding certificate
• Emergency Aid certificate
• Current Enhanced DBS
Desirable:
- Experience of working/coaching in schools with children and young people with disabilities.
- Level 3 Certificate in Supporting the Delivery of Physical Education and School Sport
- Level 2 Award in Multi-Skills Development in Sport
- NGB Level 2 Qualification in sport
- Clean Driving license & Car (candidate will need to bring equipment to and from sessions).

- Willingness to increase knowledge of how to work effectively with children and young people with special educational needs, disabilities and/or additional needs.
